Accommodations were clean and comfortable. Location was in a nice, quiet area within walking distance of downtown Donegal restaurants, pubs and shops. Free onsite parking was a nice benefit as well as the discount provided at the associated restaurant in town, The Harbour Restaurant & Bar. Would gladly stay at Farmleigh Guest House again!

What did you like about your stay in the property or location?
OK, first off - the showers. Best I’ve ever had. An electric power shower constant and the pressure could flay the hide off you. Yes, not the first thing somebody would look for - but these things are important. now to the meat of the subject. The rooms were tidy and pleasantly minimalist. The bed linen was crisp and fresh and there was a constant supply of fresh tikes. But I'm leaving the best ‘til last. And because I was only there for a couple of days I wasn't very much invested in doing a grocery shop and was eating out because of the local seafood, donncha know. Now the reason I mention this is because the shared kitchen is awesome and has everything you need. And there's also a shared Conservatory which is a very good place to hang out in even if you're not gregarious.
What did you not like about your stay in the property or location?
I'll have to go back to you on that. Honestly I can't think of anything and this is me still being in a mood after having walked for six hours from Rosnowlagh Beach and being seriously hypoglycemic. Obviously I'm not suggesting that Farmleigh was responsible for that - just providing context.

Location for our purposes of seeing sights and family, as well as proximity to central town, was excellent. Amenities within accommdation very good.

Great location and especially wonderful hosts! I needed a room quickly and only for one night and Shaun was gracious and helpful at the guesthouse and at the Harbour restaurant

It wasn't specified that there was 2 properties, caused a misunderstanding as I tried to enter property No2 instead of property No 1. I had stayed in property No 2 previously, so obviously thought it was the same.

Travelling Ireland for 4 weeks & the Farmleigh Guesthouse was by far one of the best, most comfortable stays I've had at the 3 week mark! Super friendly & helpful owners. I STRONGLY recomend taking the chance to visit the Harbour Restaurant & Bar as well - not just for the attached 10% discount, but for the food - totally amazing!
What did you not like about your stay in the property or location?
For a group of friends travelling together, this is an excellent opportunity to share a venue & cook a meal together.  But for a solo traveller, a small discount might be a way to draw in more numbers.  If I was travelling with others I would 100% stay here again, without hesitation!

The room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfy. Proximity to town ,it is very walkable . The shared Kitchen was nice too .

The weather was warm the room could use a fan . Bathroom is small sink was a bit difficult to use .

Nice and quiet area and easy walking distance from the amenities in town. The guest house was very clean and very comfortable. Highly recommend

Nice location, comfortable beds, nice linens. Friendly host.

Cumbersome to get the keys, fire hazard the way you need a key to unlock the doors from inside, we couldn't open our windows and the room was hot with no fan or ventilation.

Beautiful little place to stay, we had the house to our selves. Great location, clean, tidy, warm and lovely hosts
